Getting a Ph. D. in "Life"
Liz Irwin
One of our favorite guest presenters, Liz Irwin, will be leading a service she's wanted to do for some time - sharing some of her accumulated wisdom on how to get the most we can from our life's experiences.
Liz's incredibly robust and productive life is a model we can aspire to. She says, "I'll be discussing the idea of 'learning from living.' Life has a way, as everyone probably knows, of always giving us new things to deal with. But it's what we do with those experiences, how we learn what we need from them, that earns us our Ph. D."
Liz's sermon will draw on the rich tapestry of her dynamic life - as a parent (to comedian-actor Bill Irwin) and grandparent, social worker, community activist, writer, and special friend to many - weaving anecdotes, warmth, and wisdom into a wonderful service!

All-Music Service
Tim and Linda O'Laughlin
Our newest Fellowship members, Tim and Linda O'Laughlin, will be leading another of their delightful all-music services …this time featuring the music of UU Malvina Reynolds.
Tim says, "Malvina was one of the great treasures of the folk music scene during the '60's and '70's. Perhaps best known for her song, 'Little Boxes,' she wrote (and co-wrote with UU Pete Seeger) many other tunes that especially lend themselves to the sing-alongs we love to have everyone join in with us. We'll create a musical odyssey together through some of Malvina's repertoire -- songs as fresh and thought-provoking today as they were the day they were written."
We always leave Tim and Linda's services with a welcomed lightness in our step and a song in our heart.
New! Spirituality Essays is a collection of some of the essays our lay leader, Rick Childs, has written in the Fellowship's monthly newsletter. We added them to the site in May 2008 and will keep adding new ones as they are written. If you can't come to a service, you might find one of the essays thought-provoking, inspirational, or helpful.
